Tom joined Tandem in January 2025 as Marketing and Sales Advisor. A seasoned sales and marketing professional, Tom has a history of demonstrated success in building existing businesses and establishing new ones, as well. With firsthand experience in sales, marketing, finance, and operations in both structured and entrepreneurial environments, Tom has proven to be an enthusiastic, action-oriented leader who creates results through relationship development, effective strategic planning, and superior marketplace execution and results. For the last eighteen years, Tom has worked in the senior living industry, helping hundreds of older adults live better lives. Helping seniors and adult children alike, Tom has found a true purpose in his vocation by changing the trajectory of those burdened with the responsibilities of home ownership, by showing them the true benefits of wellness, be it physical, nutritional, emotional, spiritual or social, found in a move to a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Everything happens for a reason and there is no coincidence. People come into your life when you need to learn something from them; conversely, you come into others’ lives when they need to learn from you. It is a gift to serve this population and inspire them to take that leap of faith to choose to continue their life’s journey making new friends, new experiences, and new memories.
Helping community teams realize that earning someone’s trust is more important than taking someone’s check. Once you do one, the other will follow. Invest your time and talents in future residents and they will invest in you and your community. Prospects do not buy bricks and mortar. They buy honesty, sincerity, and a belief that you have their best interest at heart and will take better care of them in the future.
