GASTONIA, NC – Spectrum Consultants, a leading advisor to senior living communities for more than 43 years, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Holleran Consulting, a top community engagement research and consulting firm specializing in resident and employee surveys for senior living. The acquisition diversifies Spectrum’s services.
“Spectrum has always aimed to strengthen community and enrich the lives of those we serve,” said Hoppy Sell, Spectrum’s president. “Holleran provides an avenue for us to develop strategic marketing and positioning for senior living communities based on feedback and the voice of residents and staff – the true essence of a community’s aspirational culture. The addition of Holleran is our next step in growth that supports the whole community.”
Since 1992, Holleran has dedicated itself to creating knowledge that helps senior living communities set themselves apart and contribute to their strategic vision through employee and resident engagement. Holleran has worked with more than 1,000 senior living and hospital/human services client partners in 43 states and Canada and owns the largest database of Life Plan Community stakeholder research in the country. Holleran continues to develop business intelligence tools to help senior living organizations get in touch with the perceptions and needs of the stakeholders they serve.
“We have admired the reputation and dedication the Spectrum partners have for senior living, and we are truly excited to be part of a marketing and sales company that values the client relationship as we do,” said Michele Holleran, CEO of Holleran. “The natural synergy between the companies is so compelling; our clients will benefit from the combined strengths and best practices that ensure their success with occupancy and retention.”
The Spectrum and Holleran partnership is a natural next step, said Sell.
“We have lived through change these last three years, starting with Spectrum’s new ownership in 2018. Then we opened our Creative Services office in Winston-Salem under David Caudle’s leadership in 2019, faced the pandemic in 2020, and now we’re announcing our merger with Holleran in 2021,” said Spectrum’s CEO Mike Wallace. “Now that the merger is complete, we are working very closely with the leadership team and have over the last few weeks had more and more meetings with the associates to begin to get to know each other. Our cultures are very similar and have aligned quite well.”
Spectrum signed a definitive agreement to purchase Holleran in 2020 and completed the acquisition on April 30, 2021. The Holleran suite of business intelligence products and the Holleran name will remain unchanged. Holleran will continue to have offices in Pennsylvania and Colorado. Michele Holleran will remain CEO for a three-year period of time and serve on Spectrum’s leadership team. Spectrum has appointed Christine (Chris) Fares Walley as president and project manager of Holleran. She will also serve on Spectrum’s leadership team. Chris was elevated to this position after being with Spectrum for more than two years. Before joining Spectrum, Chris was the Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications for Trinity Health PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) in Michigan and was responsible for guiding the PACE programs in all stages of development to achieve enrollment goals and brand recognition across the country.
The other two members of Spectrum’s leadership team are Greg Sellers, Spectrum partner and CFO/COO and David Caudle, Spectrum’s Executive Creative Director. Spectrum will continue to focus on its core business disciplines of Strategic Marketing, Sales and Creative Services out of its two North Carolina offices in Gastonia and Winston-Salem.
